Royal Wedding: A Romance to Melt all our Hearts

The following article, as printed in The Mirror, makes a great read and captures the essence of the Royal Wedding....

Prince William and Kate Middleton – or the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they are now known – captivated the world.

It was a day when the monarchy reminded the entire globe that nobody does pomp and ceremony quite like the Windsors.

But despite the impressive displays of pageantry and the epic splendour of this most royal of royal occasions, there was still the kind of intimate mood you get at a typical family wedding.

Because of William’s birthright, there was a right and proper duty to marry in such magnificent fashion.

But Kate is from a much more modest background – and they married out of love and friendship rather than because she is of the correct pedigree – so the historic event was far from stuffy.
